Here we go again…
Summer 2020: In summary…
2020 was one of our best sailing seasons, amazingly, considering the constraints of :
a) the Coronavirus/lockdowns – we didn’t really get to the boat until end June, then overnights from early July;
b) Hospital visits;
c) Mark & Chris holiday slots;
d) The weather…!
We logged some 700 miles (and probably under-reading), got as far as Mousehole (south of Penzance), but didn’t manage the Isles of Scilly due to inclement F10 Storms. Mark & Chris joined us for a 2 week slot, and we saw the most ever Dolphins from Fowey westwards.
And in 60+ nights aboard, not one overnight in a marina (or boat-parks as I call them). Anchored out some 55 nights, remainder on moorings. Discovered some beautiful bays, often having them all to ourselves ( we value distancing from the human race in normal times, let alone currently!).

Back home in Sussex
(or is it Wales?)
So…here we are at…
Normandy, Spain, Croatia, Turkey…?
Sailing to the limits…
In Newton Creek there is always a bit of ‘challenge’ to anchor the furthest in to get the best view – up to the permitted boundary. Think we got pole position this time round…
More Brownsea residents!
Had a beautiful late afternoon stroll round the island, all the day trippers had left and the animals came out and moved around us just like a Disney cartoon. OK some are inherently more domesticated than others..
That time of day/year
Approaching equinox, so ‘sundowner’ almost coincides with ‘sunset’…
Welcome to Brownsea Island
…and btw, have you got any food?
